
In a statement given by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) through spokesperson Tom Skinner indicated that several security measures were being considered to protect against the spread of Ebola in the U.S., including the possibility of a quarantine on health workers returning from countries in West Africa where the outbreak is at its worst. This comes on the heels of Thursday’s report that a New York doctor, Craig Spencer, returning from work in one of the Ebola hot zones had tested positive for the virus. Dr. Spencer is now the fourth reported case of the disease in the country.
