David Pearson, 38, died on Wednesday morning, near San Jacinto, California after his paraglider crashed into the side of a mountain. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and coroner responded to the scene of the accident.

Officials located Pearson’s body approximately 600 feet up the mountain. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, it is uncertain what killed the paraglider. However, officials believe he succumb to injuries sustained during the crash. The coroner’s office will perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
