In southwest Wichita, Kansas, Stanley Elementary School has been placed on lockdown as police in the area undertake a manhunt for a shooting suspect who fled officers shortly after 2 pm local time. Police were pursuing a vehicle which had a suspect in it from an unspecified shooting when two people jumped out of the car and ran. One of these was captured, but the other remains at large and there is a search of the area taking place. The nearby elementary school has been placed on lockdown for the duration. It is not known whether the suspect is armed.
