
The AirAsia flight QZ8501 has disappeared. The flight took off from Indonesia and was headed to Singapore. According to official Hadi Mustofa, the plane was tasked with taking a rather unusual route before it lost contact.
AirAsia flight number QZ8501 left from Surabaya, Indonesia and with a slightly more than 150 people on board, including crew. A transport official reported to a local media branch that Jakarta air traffic control lost contact with the flight early in the morning after 6:15 am.
AirAsia has already confirmed that they have lost contact with flight QZ8501 . It has been reported that they have begun search and rescue operations already. The flight was supposed to land in Singapore at 8:30 am local time.
The airline is aware that families may be concerned. For immediate response, the airline has created a phone number that families or friends of passengers can call, the emergency number is +622129850801.
