J.K. Rowling Releasing New Harry Potter Stories Leading up to Christmas

Author J.K. Rowling plans on releasing brand new Harry Potter stories all leading up to Christmas. She has stated they will all be “festive surprises.” One story from the Potter universe will come out daily from December 12 to 23 in that 12 day span, according to several different media sources.

Fans of Harry Potter will need to be hitting up various social medial sites and hash tagging the words #PottermoreChristmas this holiday season if they want to find out what the famous author really thinks about Harry’s nemesis Draco Malfoy, along with other stories, such as the one about the ghost Florean Fortescue. Rowling released an e-mail statement on Friday that stated her new surprise stories would show up every day during that nearly two-week period on her Harry Potter website known as Pottermore. A link to the site itself is at the bottom of this article.

J.K. also explained that Pottermore would even have “some brand new potions up”  for Harry fans to “enjoy.” Her e-mail also declared that the new daily dose of writings would show up by 8 a.m. EST. This would allow everyone to prepare for the time when the stories should first start appearing.

Rowling has put up Harry Potter related tales numerous times this past year. It was in July when she released an update story about all the members of Dumbledore’s Army and told where they were and what they were doing now. In August, she sent out a story that gave a back drop to the sorceress Celestina Warbeck. When Halloween arrived, J.K. put up six different stories on the website, and included one that gave a complete character synopsis over Dolores Umbridge, who was a of Ministry of Magic official in the Potter world.

The famous author once revealed that she based the foul character on a real life teacher whom she had once had herself in her past. She stated that Umbridge had a wicked desire to control and punish without reason or thought. She wanted to impose harm and pain and do them all under the names of order and law. Rowling explained that she believed the character was just as terrible as Lord Voldemort, but in her own way. At least Voldemort was open with his promotion of evil. J.K. also stated that Dolores was the only other person besides” he who must not be named,” to end up leaving a permanent fleshly scar on Harry’s body.”

Rowling does seem to be making an attempt at keeping the majority of her Potter fans content. She has also been working on a screenplay for an upcoming movie spinoff, titled Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The Harry Potter spinoff has cautiously been scheduled to be released to the theaters on Nov. 18, 2016. However, until then, starved fans will have to get their appetites fed by stories released such as the way J.K. is doing it. She wants her “Muggles” to have a “present” each morning on the website and to savor it greatly.

The author also explained in her e-mail newsletter that she sent out to her faithful, for one to be able to partake of the story feast, they would have to be tweeting #PottermoreChristmas each day. That way, they would have the special instructions for each day that Rowling will be giving out of how to unlock each of the special tales released on the 12 days before Christmas.
