
After carjacking a Pomona woman, a car thief led police on a chase before being captured when he crashed the stolen car. The woman was dragged from her car on South Garey Avenue, on the 200 block, causing her injuries. She was reportedly handled roughly and thrown to the ground before the assailant took off with her car. She was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Pomona police encountered the stolen vehicle and chased it into the city of La Verne, where it eventually crashed by the intersection of Bonita Avenue and B Street. The suspect continued to resist arrest, and was finally subdued by officers with a taser. After being shocked, he was taken into custody. The suspect’s name has not been released. No information has been given about the condition or nature of the injuries of the unidentified victim. The suspect is in police custody, currently being charged. No other information is available about the incident at this point.
