A storyline in Game of Thrones has now been confirmed, thanks to a new poster for season five. Many fans wondered whether this season would be the one for Tyrion Lannister to come face to face with Daenerys. Would it be the year that the two unlikely allies join together?

Season four ended with a great cliffhanger. Tyrion had escaped from jail and was smuggled onto a boat across the narrow sea, after killing his former lover and his father. While fans of the show Game of Thrones may have wondered whether he would have been double-crossed, fans of the book series, A Song of Ice and Fire, knew that he would make it across the narrow seas.

Book lovers know that Tyrion and Deanerys eventually meet and become unlikely friends. It looks like early on in season five of Game of Thrones could be the time for that. The new Game of Thrones poster shows him coming face to face with Drogon, the black, dangerous dragon. Fans of the show will know that the dragons were locked up at the end of season four of Game of Thrones, but Drogon had avoided his capture by his mother.

Game of Thrones fans have been treated to a lot lately, and the confirmation of a storyline with the new season five poster is the icing on the cake. Last month, fans got to see the final two episodes of season four in IMAX theaters. It is the first time a TV show has made it to the big screen, and Game of Thrones settings are perfect for such a resolution.

Shortly after the screenings of the two episodes, fans were then treated to the first trailer for season five of Game of Thrones. It left many fans wanting more, but at least they finally got a release date for the new season. Fans just have to wait a few more weeks, as the show starts back on April 12.

Now, Game of Thrones fans have even gotten two short clips of the new season. The first shows Jon Snow up at the wall, as he tries to work with Mance Rayder, the King Beyond the Wall. He wants Mance to recognized Stannis Baratheon as the rightful King of Westeros. The second clip was of Brienne of Tarth as she discusses leadership with Podrick Payne.

The clips were used for viral marketing to make sure Game of Thrones is not forgotten about by fans. With seasons being so short and then so long between the breaks, it is common for executive producers to worry. However, it seems like Game of Thrones is not one show that fans will ever forget about any time soon.

It has already been confirmed that season five will take a slightly different path compared to the books. Part of this is due to the series catching up with the books. However, fans have one storyline confirmed with the new season five poster for Game of Thrones.
