Mila Kunis Rocks Jupiter Ascending (See Video)

Today the The Wachowskis drop a new scifi thriller that has had some curious and others antsy with anticipation. The new movie is in theaters today, February 6, 2015. The opening weekend is where the writers, producers, cast, and crew find out if their hard work really paid off. Here is the movie description from Internet Movie Database (IMDB),

“In a bright and colorful future, a young destitute caretaker gets targeted by a ruthless son of a powerful family that live on a planet in need of a new heir, so she travels with a genetically engineered warrior to the planet in order to stop his tyrant reign.”

In this description, Mila Kunis, is the character at hand and she sounds like the damsel in distress. In an interview with Collider, Kunis lets them know that her character is not a damsel in distress and explains why Jupiter Ascending rocks. See the video clip below

Kunis spoke very humbly of being a part of the movie as well as how down to earth the The Wachowskis are. This is a great quality to have when her career boasts over 50 movies and television shows. This actress is well read and continues to amaze. The role that started off her acting career was at the age of 12 in Make a Wish Molly as Melinda. Before hitting the big screen she was also well known for her role as Jackie in That 70’s Show. Making great strides in the film industry she was also cast in movies such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Max Payne, The book of Eli, Black Swan, Friends With Benefits, Ted and more recently Annie.  Her role as Jupiter slates her as a housekeeper who “scrubs toilets for a living, ” but she soon finds out that she is royalty from a whole other world and heir to earth. So, now the elephant in the room is that kiss. After the trailer it can be said that another reason to go see this movie is Channing Tatum. Always a pleasure to place the eyes on, he is Co-starring with Kunis who plays Jupiter and is there to help her ascend. When a movie has two talented actors working together to tell a story it has to be worth the watch. Following Tatum from movie to movie he has played in a slew of action roles including the G. I. Joe film series, White House Down, and the Jump Street film series can be included if one can get past the funny. There were pretty amazing stunts in the movie series. Tatum has continued to show promise in action films as he is set to play Gambit in X-Men: Apocalypse, which is in pre-production. It has also been announced that he will star in Gambit the movie, as Gambit. Kunis has not sold the world short in starring in action roles either, but who is being saved here in Jupiter Ascending?
