President Obama is working with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE) to address gun control by banning one of the very popular bullets, the M855 AR-15, which is used by a top-selling rife. Since BATFE has changed the category for this bullet as “armor piercing,” it is considered a danger to policemen.
When a bullet has been given this label, it cannot be purchased by the public. President Obama has attempted to ban guns for a long time, but he was unsuccessful. One gun he worked to ban through legislation was a sporty rife.This action to ban the bullets will take place through an executive action.
President Obama’s banning of the bullets has promoted protests among citizens in the United States. The Chairperson of the House Judiciary Committee is demanding an explanation for this abrupt decision. The NRA and millions of supporters will block this action of what they believe is President Obama’s latest strategy to attack the Second Amendment privilege.
