CEO Missing After Amtrak Derailment

Amtrak CEO

Rachel Jacobs, CEO has not yet been found after the Amtrak train derailed Tuesday. The co-founder of ApprenNet, Karl Okamoto spoke to CNN reporter, David Shortell on Wednesday. Okamoto said that CEO Jacobs has not been heard from since leaving a meeting to get on the Amtrak train to New York to go home.

Jacobs uses a “10 Trip” ticket, therefore, there is no record of a reservation for her until her ticket is scanned by the conductor, once she is on the train. She was recently promoted to CEO of ApprenNet and used Amtrak to commute from New York City to work, in Philadelphia.

Okamoto said there has been no news and the lack of information is frustrating. All that is known at this time, is that six people are dead and 200 have been hospitalized after the Amtrak train number 188, derailed and crashed 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

ApprenNet, has released a statement requesting prayers and positive thoughts for Rachel Jacobs and her family at this time. They want her to know that people are still looking for her and they hope that she will be able to be home with her family soon. Jacobs is married and has a two-year-old son at home.

Today, there are emergency workers are still pulling out of debris and looking for more missing people. Waiting for more news soon.
