Manhattan Man Shot and Killed by Police Near Penn Station After Attempted Hammer Attack on Female

A man in Manhattan, New York has been shot and killed by police after attempting to attack a female officer with a hammer. Bizarrely, this individual is wanted for a string of attacks with said weapon that are said to have occurred over the past week. The incident took place at 8th and 37th, in Midtown, near the busy Penn Station.

Details are, at this point, scarce. Original reports stated that one person was hospitalized, although they did not specify as to who this individual was. They did, however, confirm that no NYPD had been injured in any way whatsoever as a result of the altercation having taken place.

There is also not any information at this time regarding the aforementioned claimed slew of hammer attacks by the same man who was shot and killed by NYPD officers in Manhattan after he attempted to strike the mentioned female law enforcement official with the same weapon. Exactly where and when these incidents occurred has yet to be revealed, as well as who they were inflicted on. All that is known at this point is that the deceased culprit was African-American, and male.
