Truck Driver Killed in Wisconsin After Crashing Into House

Early on Tuesday morning, a man was killed in an automobile accident that happened in Switzerland County, Wisconsin. According to a spokesman for the Switzerland County Sheriff’s office, a large truck carrying large industrial steel rolls crashed directly into the front of a personal residence located near an intersection just off of Indiana 156 and Paddlefish Road just before 6:30 a.m.

David Wessely, 62, the truck driver, was a native of Cedar Grove, Wisconsin. Wessely was pronounced dead at the scene when law enforcement officers and medical crew arrived shortly after the accident. Although the home was severely damaged, it was under construction and there was no one inside.

Switzerland County police officers are still investigating the cause of the crash that left the truck driver dead. There has been no information regarding the exact cause of death for the driver of the truck. Police cordoned off the scene of the vehicle accident to find more evidence to determine how the accident occurred.
