Warrant Issued for Suspect in Woodbridge Shooting


A warrant was issued on Sunday May 10, 2015 for a shooting in Woodbridge, Prince William County. Police are still looking for 30-year old Jesse Najera on Sunday afternoon, after an innocent man was shot while trying to stop a dispute. The argument took place in a vehicle parked outside of the home. Witnesses were walking by and a 20-year-old man tried to help the woman, but Najara started shooting at the man and injured him in the arm and leg with his firearm before running from the scene of the crime.

Police are still searching for the suspect and have charged him with a vicious wounding and possession of a firearm. The injured victim was taken to the hospital with non-threatening injuries. The man did not know Najera claim the police, he was just trying to intervene and stop the argument peacefully. No arrest has been made yet. The cause for the brawl was not identified. A warrant is out for a man who shot another man for trying to intervene in a violent dispute.
