Family Rejects Nick Gordon’s Plea to Attend Bobbi Kristina’s Funeral

The families of Bobbi Kristina have rejected Nick Gordon’s request to attend his former girlfriend’s funeral. Gordon has been accused of being the culprit responsible for Bobbi Kristina’s fate. He sent an email to her father and aunt begging for permission to say his final goodbyes to his former love interest, Bobbi Kristina Brown.

In a “private” email sent to Bobby Brown and Patricia Houston Gordon begged for their blessing to attend. He said Bobbi Kris loved him and would have wanted him to be in attendance.  Gordon wanted them both to know that he did not want to stir up any trouble or cause a commotion. He just wanted to be there to see her one last time.

The relationship between Gordon and Krissy’s family has been strained since they publicly declared themselves a couple. He and Bobbi Kris were initially just friends prior to Whitney Houston accepting him into the family and treating him as her son. The family viewed him as Krissy’s brother figure and were alarmed to see them together, hugged up and expression emotions that belong to an intimate couple.

Upon admitting they were in a serious relationship, their connection with the Houstons immediately changed. As was seen by fans on the reality show, The Houstons: On Our Own Bobbi Kris had already begun to pull away. Many spectators have accused Gordon of being the reason she no longer wanted to be around her maternal family. However, it is quite common for a youngster such as Krissy, who was raised to do her own thing just like her mother, to shun anyone that would not be accepting of what or who she believed was “right” for her.

Upon learning that Gordon was begging to attend Krissy’s funeral many of the fans began to speak out against the young man as if Bobbi Kris had no accountability in her own death. One fan wrote:

Nick REALLY??? Bobbi Kristina’s family is very hurt and upset that she is gone! Nick when her father wanted to know what had happened to her back in January. You had every opportunity to tell the truth!! Nick the only reason why you want to attend Bobbi Kristina funeral is because you know deep down inside you are guilty!!!

It seems the majority of people speaking out are irate that Gordon would have the nerve to submit such a request to the family as if the couple did not love each other. Even if it was just infatuation or the process Bobbi Kris chose to mourn Whitney’s passing, it is obvious there were feelings between the two. Her death is an absolute tragedy, but any person interested in the truth will say they are not very surprised. Krissy showed signs of a downward spiral and unrelenting grief since her mother passed. Another person shared their opinion after learning of Gordon’s request by saying:

Number 1, I don’t think he killed her. Number 2, I think it was attempted suicide. Number 3, I do believe he committed domestic assault against her the day before her death and this is WRONG.  Number 4, it would take a big heart and big person to allow him to be there. I would allow him to view her privately at the wake and only because I DON’T believe he had anything to do with her being in that tub, and she did love him so to bring some closure let him say goodbye. Another point… Why would Nick kill his meal ticket? It does not make sense.

Gordon said in the email he is destroyed that Krissy is gone, he loved her with all of his heart and just wanted to say, “Goodbye.” Reportedly, he has yet to receive a reply to his request to attend the funeral which is being held on Saturday. The families of Bobbi Kristina have ignored Gordon’s request and silently rejected his plea. Despite the $10 million lawsuit against him for alleged domestic abuse and money theft, he has asked God to bless and heal the hearts of both the Houston and Brown families.
