Chris Brown will have a hard time putting up a fight in court once his baby’s mother, Nia Guzman, files papers to hold full custody of their daughter, Royalty. Guzman, who is believed to have had a short-lived fling with the R&B singer during his relationship to Karrueche Tran in 2014, is livid over the fact that Brown is putting up a fight in wanting joint custody, knowing well enough that he is an irresponsible father figure.
According to the 31-year-old, Brown leaves her worrying every time their daughter spends time with him, simply because trouble tends to follow the Grammy winner wherever he goes. It was just last month when it was reported that a group of men had raided the 26-year-old’s home in Los Angeles, supposedly looking for the musician, who was lucky to have been away at the time. The unfortunate part of the story is that Brown’s aunt was present inside the house and was said to have been held at gunpoint while the intruders searched for valuable collections to steal.
This is just one of the incidents that have left Guzman worrying for her daughter’s safety whenever she is expected to spend time with her father. According to sources, she has no problem with Brown being a father to Royalty, but she wants to make sure that all visits are supervised when she is not around. Furthermore, she wants to hold full custody as she firmly believes that her child is better off kept at her home than in a mansion, which is now notoriously known for having criminals hold family members hostage.
Once the custody war goes to court, it will not be looking too good for the singer, mainly because Guzman has so many cases she can use against him, it would be a miracle for the judge to side with Brown, insiders affirm. What is further speculated is whether Brown’s actual intentions for joint custody is down to the supposed fact that he is not willing to pay his baby’s mother high amounts in child support.
An initial request of $25,000 a month was turned down by Brown, who thought the sum was absurd. The two would then go on to talk out a new deal that would see the singer splash a reasonably less amount of money to support his daughter and her well-being. $10,000 was what they ended up agreeing on until Brown found out that Guzman had been allowing his estranged mother, Joyce Hawkins, to look after his daughter over in Virginia. Breezy changed his whole mind on the $10,000 child support deal and has urged his child’s mother to fight it out in court.
Guzman has never denied that Brown is a bad parent when he is with Royalty, having taken her to numerous theme parks, had her follow along his recent tour, and splashes thousands of dollars on new toys for her whenever they are reunited. But the fact that he is surrounded by so many people that clearly do not have his best intentions does not sit well with the 31-year-old. She has enough evidence to prove to the court that their daughter is better off at her home, while she may also end up getting more than the $10,000 child support deal the twosome had initially agreed upon.
