About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to citizens of the 18th District (Near North) of Robbery related
incidents during the month of October. In these incidents, one or more offender(s) approach a victim on the street and demand/forcibly remove personal property. These incidents have occurred in the late evening / early morning hours in the general geographical locations listed below:
Incident times and locations:
•600 Block of N. State on October 06, 2015 in the early morning hours
•400 Block of N. State on October 06, 2015 in the late evening hours.
•500 Block of N. State on October 10, 2015 in the early morning hours
Offender Description:
•#1 Male, black, 26-28 years of age, 5’10,190lbs
•#2 Male, black, approximately 30 years old, dreadlocks
What you can do:
* Be aware of your surroundings
•Report suspicious activity immediately
•If video surveillance is available, save and make a copy of the incident for investigating detectives.
•If you are a victim do not touch anything, call police immediately
•If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
