Why: Every two minutes in the U.S., someone is sexually assaulted. Every nine seconds, a woman is assaulted or beaten. In order to tackle this epidemic, LAPD’s Major Assault Crime Detectives have partnered with the following agencies: Dignity Health’s Center for Assault Treatment services and Strength United’s Family Justice Center Project, a California State University Northridge community agency.
