On Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, police in New York City, have arrested a couple accused of attacking a blind Salvation Army bell-ringer. According to WCBS, the suspects are 21-year-old Audriana Wignal, and 30-year-old Juan Rodriguez, who apparently accused the blind bell-ringer of cutting in line, while they were at the Smashburger restaurant in White Plains.
The couple then proceeded to beat the 41-year-old bell-ringer after Rodriquez knocked him to the ground and hit him while Wignal ruthlessly kicked him repeatedly. Then the bell-ringer was hit in the head when Rodriquez threw the kettle at him. The suspects have been charged with assault, resulting from the attack that took place on Saturday. Doctors treated the bell-ringer at a local hospital who had sustained injuries to his face and head.
The couple was arraigned on Sunday, however upon posting bail, Rodriquez was again arrested on Monday for an upgraded assault charge.
At the time of this report, police were still investigating the incident. Guardian Liberty Voice will update this report as more details become available.
