Information Sought Regarding Dallas Murder [Updated]

On March 10, 2016, at approximately 5:20 p.m. CT, Dallas Police Department (DPD) officers responded to a shooting call at John West Rd. and La Prada Dr. The victim, Marlese Arnett, B/F, 32, was shot while driving near this location. The victim and suspect(s) may have had some sort of altercation immediately prior to the shooting. Arnett was transported to Baylor Hospital in critical condition and succumbed to her injuries on March 11, 2016.

The suspect vehicle is described as an early 2000s model Burgundy 4-Door Jeep. Update: April 22, 2016 @ 4:00 p.m. CT

As a result of the investigation, on April 22, 2016, DPD detectives determined that Kierra Johnson was involved in the murder of Marlese Arnett. Kierra Johnson, whose age was withheld, was arrested and taken to the DPD Headquarters where she gave a voluntary statement admitting that, as the driver of the vehicle involved in the shooting of Arnett, she chased the victim’s vehicle and her boyfriend, accomplice Kendrick McDow, B/M, 20 years old, fired the shots that killed Arnett. Johnson is currently in the Dallas County Jail charged with murder and is being held on a $500,000 bond.

The Dallas Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating the accomplice, Kendrick McDow, in this case. A warrant for murder has been issued for his arrest.
