Dr. Lee Berk, a professor at Loma Linda University in California, studied the benefits of chortling for nearly three decades. According to Time magazine, he considers laughing to have benefits comparable to those of a diet. The reason is that the connection between mind, hormone, and immune systems equally impact the mood, the body’s ability to defeat diseases and the level of stress.
