The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) finally approved on Oct. 20, 2017, the world’s fastest allergy test created by Swedish company developer Abionic. The test will take up to 5 minutes and only will require one drop of blood to determine the existence of a respiratory allergy.
The development of both the IVD CAPSULE aeroallergens and the abioSCOPE platform started in 2010. The company is expecting to release the test to the commerce in 2018.
Dr. Nicolas Durand, CEO of Abionic said his innovative test and the technological platform are a milestone for the company, and an important regulatory step which sets the stage for commercialization.
