MuellerMSNBC reported on Feb. 22, 2019, that a DOJ Senior Official has told them the Mueller report would not be expected next week as previously many news agencies have reported.

NBC News’ Geoff Bennett tweeted on Twitter:

Reports that the Attorney General will receive the report from the Mueller and the Special Counsel by the end of next week are incorrect. They will not receive the report by the end of next week, a senior Justice Department official tells @JuliaEAinsley

CNN reported on Feb. 20 that Attorney General William Barr was preparing to announce the Mueller investigation was completed. CNN also said that the timing of those plans might change. The Mueller investigation would show if there was collusion between Trump and Russia.

CNN also said that the DOJ official would not comment on why the change in timing of the Mueller report. The response was timing was always subject to change.

Democratic lawmakers have been demanding that the Mueller report is made public.

On Feb. 22, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., repeated that statement. She said that the special counsel report concerned matters that had “implications for the rule of law and jeopardizes the stability of the United States democracy. The cannot be kept from the public.”
