Sean Milliken, star of the TLC television show “My 600-Lb Life has died. He was 29-years old.
Milliken’s father, Matt Milliken, wrote on Facebook that the popular television star developed an infection and was admitted to the hospital on Feb. 17, 2019. He continued to write his son developed breathing problems, and medical personnel was able to resuscitate him. However, shortly after his heart gave out. Milken was described as a wonderful man who had a big heart.
Before his death, Milken was residing alone in his Texas apartment. The reality star was the heaviest person on the show “My 600-Lb Life” weighing in at 900 lbs. On the show in 2016 when Milken was 25 years old, he admitted he could not take care of himself without assistance, and needed help bathing.
His mother, Renee, admitted she could no longer bathe her son and required the help of a family friend named Kate, who had known Milliken and Renee for two years. Kate would help do laundry, cook meals, clean and bathe Milliken.
Sean told People Magazine in 2016 that if he did not lose weight, he would not live past 30. TLC did a show following up on the status of Milliken in 2017. At that time, he lost 300 lbs after having gastric bypass surgery.
Physically, Milliken could walk and take care of himself. However, he became accustomed to having his mother feed and take care of him. Renee enabled him, the reality star did not get out of bed, and the old routines continued.
Renee died in 2018 at the age of 57. After her death, Milliken deleted all social media accounts.
