Dr. Jim Raman, who was a contestant on season 25 of “The Amazing Race” died in South Carolina on March 11, 2019. He was 42 years old.

Capt. Adam Myrick, the spokesperson from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department said police were summoned to the orthodontist’s home on March 12 at 4:30 a.m. Raman was dead when they arrived.

Myrick said there was nothing suspicious or criminal regarding Raman’s death and there would be no further comments on the subject out of respect and compassion for the family.

Raman and his wife Misti, also a dentist, competed on the reality show in 2014 and finished as a runner-up.

Irmo smiles, the company Raman worked for issues a statement saying that Irmo Smiles suffered a significant loss. It is with sadness that the death of Jim Raman had to be announced. As the staff and family prepare for Raman’s funeral, they asked for prayers during the difficult time.

The statement continued to tell patients that they would have their appointments rescheduled and thanked them for their patience.

The couple has two children Jimmy and Lexi. Funeral services will take place on March 16, and Raman will be buried in South Carolina.
