Michael
George Michael’s Wham! bandmate, Andrew Ridgeley, has signed on to write a book discussing the band and friendship with Michael.

“Wham!, George & Me” will tell the story of the friendship on Ridgeley and Michael from 1975 when they met at Bushey Meads School, their musical career, and success in the 80s.

The book will also discuss Wham!’s last gig on June 28, 1986, at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Michael died on Dec. 25, 2016. An autopsy showed the singer had heart disease and fatty liver. These diseased could be linked to alcohol and drug abuse. He was 53 years old.

After Michael’s death, Ridgeley told the Mail On Sunday nothing could have prepared him of the pain he felt when Michael died. He cried like he had never cried before.

The managing director of the publisher of the book Michael Joseph at Penguin Books, Louise Moore said Ridgeley is the only person who could write this story. It is a memoir of music, friendship, and love.

She added when she heard about the project; she immediately wanted to publish the book and bring it to the millions of people who loved the band.

There has been no release date set for the memoir.
