Hussle
Sources told TMZ that the memorial service for rapper Nipsey Hussle would be held at the L.A. Staples Center on April 11, 2019. The venue holds 21,000 people.

A website will sell tickets for the event, and only ticket holders will be permitted to attend the event.

Sources told the publication there was a meeting on April 3 between Hussle’s family members and executives from the Staples Center. Officials from the LAPD were also at the meeting to help plan the security and logistics necessary for the event.

It is an enormous undertaking to plan a major event such as this one in less than seven days. Equipment for the stage must be obtained and rented. TMZ was told rental companies who will provide the equipment had been contacted already.

Sources also told TMZ that the ushers who usually work at the Staples Center were instructed they would be working on that particular day, and not to make other plans.

The final regular season game for the Clippers will be held at the Center the night prior. The venue will have to make a quick turnaround to set up for Hussle’s service.

Hussle’s service is not the only major backdrop for a vast Hollywood Event. In 2009, Michael Jackson’s memorial service was held there.
