On April 26, 2019, Taylor Swift released her new song with Panic! At The Disco’s Brendon Urie. “ME!” is an upbeat pop song.
In the video, Swift opens the video with a snake that turns into multiple colorful butterflies.
The opening was a swipe at 38-year-old Kim Kardashian, and Kanye West her husband.
Kardashian saw the video and shot back at Swift on her Instagram. She posted a photograph of snake jewelry she just bought and wrote under it that she was obsessed.
Twenty-nine-year-old Swift did not mention Kardashian directly in the song. However in 2016 when Kardashian started a feud with the pop star, Swift called her a snake.
The feud began when West called Swift a “b***h” in the song “Famous.” He also claimed in the song that he was the one who made her famous in the song.
Kardashian supported her husband claiming she recorded Swift saying she agreed to the song lyrics. The three have been feuding ever since, and West bowed out of the fight. Swift and Kardashian continued to feud.
In March 2019, Kardashian said in an interview with ELLE Magazine that she learned it is easy to stop a bully by laughing. It was her experience that bullies want to be taken seriously and feared. Several years ago, a person on the internet started a hate campaign online against her, by calling her a snake.
