Hussle
Rapper Ermias Asghedon, otherwise known as Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed on March 31, 2019, outside of his clothing store Marathon Clothing in Los Angeles, at 3:20 pm PT.

Hussle was one of three people shot who was outside the store with his fans taking photos. Hussle, it was reported, was shot six times and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The Daily Mail reports he tweeted on Twitter earlier in the day “Having strong enemies is a great blessing.”

Several news outlets reported it Hussle was scheduled to meet with police and community leaders to discuss solutions to gang violence on April 1.

Hussle has been affiliated for a long time with the gang Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips. This is something the rapper has openly admitted. In 2010, he discussed it in depth in an interview with The Complex.

LA Police Commissioner Steve Soboroff posted on Twitter “At the request of Hussle we would be meeting with him and other people from Roc Nation at 4:00 pm PT to talk about ways he could help kids and stop gang violence. Everybody is so sad.”

Hussle was raised in South Los Angeles and often spoke about joining as a teenager the Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips gang, and the constant violence between rival gangs.

The other two men involved are at the hospital in stable condition. Videos have started to be posted showing Hussle receiving CPR before being transported to the hospital.

One eyewitness told The Daily Mail alleged they saw a man leave a scene in a vehicle. The police announced they were looking for a “black male” as a suspect.
