Wendy Williams Went Through Everything. What Made Her Say Enough?

Wendy Williams’ life has been major news in the last few months.

Daily the press was printing stories and photos about Williams’ husband of 21 years Kevin Hunter, and his alleged mistress Sharina Hudson.

Photos of Hunter and Hudson on vacation together made front page news. The press reported how Hunter bought his mistress a house near the one he shared with Williams. Photographs were taken of Hudson’s home, and Hunter’s name was also on the mailbox.

Stories of Hunter abusing Williams was reported. Sources told various news publications that the couple often fought on the set, and it was alleged Hunter hit Williams.

Finally, a story came out alleging Hunter’s mistress gave birth to his child, a baby girl.

No matter what happened, the daytime diva remained in the marriage which appeared to be toxic.

Williams and Hunter married in 1997, and have one son together, Kevin Hunter Jr. Williams husband eventually took on the role of her manager and was the executive director on her talk show. Hunter and Williams also founded a charity together, and her production company.

Before taking a well-publicized break from her talk show to take care of her health issues, rumors that she was abusing substances began to surface. Williams has always been open regarding her past drug and alcohol history.

A source told People Magazine that the stress with her marriage was having Williams struggle to keep her sobriety as she was trying to save her marriage.

The press knew Hunter was cheating on Williams for many years, so there is no doubt Hunter’s wife knew also. It is alleged that she heard Hudson was pregnant.

She hired a private investigator to get more information. After obtaining the proof, she confronted her husband, and he came clean to her.

Williams served Hunter the divorce paperwork after the baby was born. It was reported he was shocked when he was served with divorce paperwork. A source said he was shocked Williams finally got up the guts to do it.

What caused the talk show host to finally take control of her life and stop being humiliated by Hunter? Was it one incident of an accumulation of years of poor behavior. One will never know, but this story has not ended. The divorce of Williams and Hunter will be making news for months to come.
