Two weeks after Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West had a child by a surrogate, the new mother has filed paperwork to trademark her son’s name.
According to paperwork, Kardashian filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, On May 22, 2109, Kardashian filed the paperwork to trademark her new son’s name “Psalm West.” The reason behind it is to sell calendars, books, home furnishing, hair accessories, jewelry, clothes, and other items.
Psalm is not the first child from Kardashian and West to file trademarks on their names. North, five years old, Saint 3 years old, and Chicago have trademarks also. The children’s names were registered under the areas of beauty, fashion, and entertainment.
Kardashian recently filed for trademarks under their names.
Psalm has more applications which have been filed under his name than the other three children.
Kardashian said the Book of Psalms inspired Psalms name. The meaning behind it is “a sacred poem or song used in religious worship, especially those hymns found in the Book of Psalms.”
West has hosted his popular Sunday religious service, which is a celebration which is spiritual and has gospel music. His service took place on Easter at Coachella.
Recently Kylie Jenner filed paperwork to trademark the name “Kylie Baby.” Also, True Thompson and Stormi Webster had a trademark application filed by their mothers Khloé Kardashian and Kylie Jenner.
