STEM School Shooting in Denver With Multiple Victims

ShootingLaw enforcement and emergency personnel have responded to a shooting at STEM School Highland Ranch in Denver, Colorado.

Officials say a minimum of two people have suffered injuries, and the number can rise.

The incident was reported at 2 pm MT on May 7, 2019. Police were called informing them of the active shooting at the charter school.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said on a Tweet on their official Twitter that the situation was unstable and there was a shooting at the STEM School located at Ridgeline and Plaza. They continued that there were two known injuries and unconfirmed reports of others.

Emergency services arrived at the scene and officers secured it. The identity of the suspect and status are unknown. There are no details regarding the circumstances of the active shooting.

Presently the entire school district of Douglas County is on Lockdown. Parents who have students who attend the STEM School were informed to go to Northridge Elementary to pick up their children.
