Time for Real Change and Gretchen Whitmer Will Deliver

My voting record is good, but the candidates I have chosen have not been very successful. For example, I voted for Reagan in 1980 and he began the end of the once Grand Old Party. I voted for Clinton twice, Al Gore in 2000, John Kerry in 2004, Barack Obama twice, Hillary Clinton in 2016, and Joe Biden in 2020. However, in the 2020 primaries, I believe that Kamala Harris was the better choice.

For the Future of America

I am taking an early stand for 2024, or possibly 2028. Her name is Gretchen Whitmer, the current Governor of Michigan. I believe she is the real change America needs in the 21st century.

Ms. Whitmer stated that she will complete her second term as governor, which precludes her entry into the 2024 election. However, if President Biden decides not to run for reelection, everything is possible.

Ms. Whitmer stood up to the bullies who comprise the Neo-Nazis who support Trump during the pandemic. We learned that several members of these groups planned to kidnap her and take her life. Fortunately, the FBI prevented their crimes and the men involved are awaiting indictment.

When Ms. Whitmer was reelected in 2022, she received a gift from Michigan’s voters. The state legislature is now controlled by Democrats, and her progressive agenda has a much greater chance of succeeding.

The following is her mission statement as reported by her staff.

Governor Whitmer has put together the most diverse cabinet in our state’s history and has signed executive directives to clean up our drinking water, end discrimination in state government based on sexual orientation and gender identity, secure equal pay for equal work, and expand opportunities for small and disadvantaged businesses. She has led bipartisan negotiations to lower Michiganders’ auto insurance and led a bipartisan group of legislators and business, education, and labor leaders to make sure every Michigander has a path to a high wage skill.

Most Americans Are Progressive

Contrary to “political experts,” I believe that most Americans want a progressive leader, as demonstrated by younger voters, women, and Independents.

I have been advocating for the election of a woman president for many years. History proves that the mostly old, white men who have led our country for nearly 247 years have failed for the most part. For far too long our nation has been an imperialistic, war-prone, nation which is more interested in the profits of big business than the quality of life for the American people.

Governor Whitmer’s ideals and beliefs are American ideals and beliefs. She believes in the foundation of the Constitution. Today, more than ever, this is what we need to save the future of our country.

Time for Positive Change

To my fellow Independent voters: let’s get this done. We can finally elect someone who will fight for real change in America by placing our people first. Issues which include universal healthcare, free or affordable education, the right for all women to be treated equally with men, denying religious interference in our government, and protecting the rights guaranteed by the Law of the Land to all Americans, regardless of their race, ethnicity, color of their skin, religious preference, or not at all are protected and not denied by our federal government.
