Lil Wayne, Tone Loc and Morrissey all under the doctor’s watch
With the release of Lil Wayne’s latest album I AM NOT A HUMAN BEING II right around the corner. Fans of the Young Money CEO are worried about the health of their favorite rapper. Lil Wayne suffered a seizure this past week and it isn’t the star rapper’s first. For Lil Wayne has been having re-occuring seizures for the past few months. He had two this past October on two seperate flight trips and in November was placed on seizure medication and advised to drink four bottles of water daily. Lil Wayne simply responded with, “I ain’t drinking four water bottles, but everything’s good.”
Now, the Young Money CEO has suffered another seizure this past week and was rushed to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles where rumors speculated that Lil Wayne was in an induced coma and in critical condition. However, fellow Young Money rapper Mack Maine tweeted Lil Wayne’s condition saying, “Wayne is alive and well! We watching the Syracuse game…thanks for the prayers and concern..he will update you all soon.”
Soon after Lil Wayne tweeted, “I’m good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love.”
Also, Lil Wayne’s publicist denies that he is in a medically induced coma while stating this, “Lil Wayne is doing well.”
So, as Lil Wayne recovers hip hop icon Tone Loc had also suffered from a seizure and he too is no stranger to having seizures. Though, unlike Lil Wayne, Tone Loc was performing live on stage in Des Moines when he collapsed but he wasn’t hospitalized due to his own wishes. Tone Loc’s representative has been unavailable for comment and as for the rappers condition and reason for collapse is unknown.
Tone Loc who’s birth name is Anthony T. Smith has had seizures in the past causing him to collapse during a performance. In 1995 the rapper collapsed while in attendance of a Los Angeles Lakers and in 2009 he collapsed during a performance in Pensacola, Florida and the reason given was that he was overheated.
Also, Morrissey has had to cancel his remaining tour dates due to double pneumonia, a bleeding ulcer and a gastrointestinal problem called Barrett’s esophagus.
Morrissey’s rep released this statement: “Despite his best efforts to try to continue touring, Morrissey has to take a hiatus and will not be able to continue on the rest of the tour. Morrissey thanks all of his fans for their well wishes and thoughts.”
Morrissey was scheduled for a twenty-two date tour but instead fans are receiving refunds for their tickets. The tour began in Los Angeles at the Staples Center and Hollywood High School where Morrissey seemed to have been in good health and looked fine. It was shortly after though that the former Smith’s singer had fallen ill.
