Kaley Cuoco Turns 29, Husband Ryan Sweeting Throws Her Surprise Bash

The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco turns 29 today, and her husband helped her celebrate by organizing a surprise birthday party last Saturday. The event, which was planned by highly sought-after event planner Lauren Tatum, completely floored the actress and left her both stunned and overjoyed at the effort Sweeting had put in with the help of her friends.

The actress’s sister Briana also gave a helping hand to the party, and showed up with all the others to surprise her. The Daily Mail recently obtained a video which details Cuoco walking into the room in question, clearly unsuspecting of what she is about to be greeted by. All the partygoers yell surprise and begin cheering, and the actress proceeds to cover up her face in shock and express her surprise and happiness at such an event having been planned for her. The party’s theme was reportedly “Ryan Loves Kaley” and all the guests in attendance were wearing necklaces that read those words, some styled the same and some differently. The California native took to Instagram shortly after the bash to share a picture of the gathering, depicting her and Sweeting sitting together and finding humor in what appeared to be a piece of paper of some sort.

Cuoco’s marriage to Sweeting appears to be going very strong so far, as she recently posted a photograph side by side with her tennis professional husband, with the caption that he was what she was most thankful for. The picture, posted in black and white, was posted onto Cuoco’s alternative Instagram page under the alias Norman Cook. The pair will be celebrating their one year anniversary on New Year’s Eve. The nuptials took place in Santa Susana, California, after only three months of dating. There was much speculation and judgement that the pair was rushing into their union, as they had not been romantically involved with each other for very long, but they disregarded said warnings and went ahead with the ceremony anyway.

It has been quite a year for Cuoco, both on-screen and off. Back in May, her Big Bang Theory character Penny reached a new height in terms of plot development regarding both her employment and relationship with on-screen love Leonard Hofstadter (played by her former flame Johnny Galecki). The pair became engaged at the end of the most recent season’s finale, something fans had been waiting to experience for seven years. In the opener of the eighth season this September, it was revealed that Penny had gotten a job as a pharmaceutical salesperson, a job which she gained through her association with Bernadette Rostenkowski (played by Melissa Rauch.)

In terms of off-screen attention, Cuoco broke headlines back in August when she was one of the many female victims that were subject to an iCloud security breach and had their intimate photographs leaked onto the internet. Some of the other high profile celebrities that were victimized include Jennifer Lawrence, Gabrielle Union, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Apple has since increased the security of said storage feature in the wake of the privacy breach.
