Les Miserables is a classic story set in 19th-century France and was originally a novel written by Victor Hugo in 1862. It is now being remade into a movie again.
This is a story of Jean Valjean (Hugh Jackman) trying to find redemption, Fantine (Anne Hathaway) trying to support her illegitimate daughter Cosette (Amanda Seyfried) and Javert’s (Russel Crowe) drive to keep law and order in France. Many conflicts, diverse characters and love won and lost shape the story into the cherished tale that many enjoy still today.
Among this star-studded cast includes Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen. The cast also includes actors new to the movie industry like Eddie Redmaynd, who plays Marius, and Samantha Barks, who plays Eponine.
Time will tell how this new version of Les Miserables will compare to the 1998 version with Geoffrey Rush and Uma Thurman. It will be played in theaters started December 14, 2012.

That’s a fan made poster., not the real one. And you say this is the second film version of “Les Misérables”? More like closer to the 50th film version (the real number of films is somewhere betweeen 30 and 60, no one is really sure).
It’s December 14th. It’s even on the poster you have in this article.
