Well, well, well. It would appear that the LA Kings did the impossible. Beat the NJ Devils in five games for the Stanley Cup Championship. My NJ Devils. Oh well, I guess you can’t win ‘em all. At least the Giants won the Super Bowl. And that’s where I’m going with this. Hockey’s done, the NBA finals start tonight, and baseball is in full swing, nearing the all-star break. That can only mean one thing: Football season is upon us. Yeah! Minicamps start this week for 24 NFL teams, and I couldn’t be happier. What with training camps starting in late July and preseason football games starting the first week of August, I’m happier than a pig in the mud! The NFL announced its schedule of nationally televised 2012 preseason games, starting with the Arizona Cardinals vs. the New Orleans Saints in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game on Sunday, Aug. 5 (NFL Network, 8 p.m. ET) in Canton, Ohio. And our Super Bowl Champion New York Giants host the Chicago Bears in their preseason opener on Friday August 24th in the Meadowlands. (CBS 8 p.m. ET). Just thought you might like to know.
