2012 261 f99f262a c6c1 4419 ac21 d30764fd8a1bSan Marcos, Texas–Three buildings on the Texas State University campus in San Marcos have been evacuated due to a bomb threat, according to school officials.

The first alert came to students around 9:40 a.m., which said there had been a threat to the admissions building and asked students to evacuate and avoid the area.

Students were then notified at 10:05 a.m. the evacuation area was extended to the San Jacinto and Tower residence halls.

Officials are asking students, faculty and visitors to avoid area around this building. Admissions occupants should go to a safe area,”

The post was amended at 10:07 a.m. to include the Tower and San Jacinto buildings, adjacent to the Undergraduate Admissions Center.

So far there have been no reports of injuries.
