Miley Cyrus can’t stop the music anymore. All over the world her fans have rejoiced, and are now totally addicted to Miley’s new tune: ‘We can’t stop’. One big fan said on Instagram: “Getting ready for the day andddd listening to @MileyCyrus’ new song! I’m obsessed with it!!!! #wecantstop.” Other fans have gone as far as filming themselves, and showing of their own riDONKulous moves. (Miley started talking about the riDonkulousness of her video by tweeting: “Just watched #wecantstop 1st edit #musicvideo #riDONKulous,” after that statement she added a picture of herself in the video wearing white spandex bottoms, and a cropped top surrounded on the floor by several extras. It is clear from that picture that at least Miley Cyrus can’t stop, I can’t neither, because it’s such a catchy tune, and can you?Can you stop? or do you hate the song already?
Her fans are ecstatic because it’s the first new tune after waiting for three years. Her last release was back in 2010 and it was Can’t be tamed. Most fans agree that Miley has grown up quite a bit, and that her new music is not only addictive but more of a mature sound. One of her fans @AuriLR tweeted: “I love We Can’t Stop. This part: ‘It’s my mouth I can say what I want to’ just killing me. @MileyCyrus U r bak, bby,” Another said:”Such a dope tuneee #thequeenisback.”
However there are not only positive signals, some people are concerned about the song text. (Doesn’t that always happen? There are always people who suggest nasty morals, and values. When in reality these people are just jealous or even more perverted. This is a known strategy: kill the fun for all, so you don’t have to see what your life is like without it, or make them look the other way so you can do whatever you want, and nobody notices it.) The concerned people think that when Miley sings about “shaking it like we at a strip club” and “trying to get a line in the bathroom.” she is talking about actually going to strip clubs and quite possibly drugs, or that’s what they think. Do you agree with that? Do you think Miley sings about sex, and drugs or is it just innocent fun? Artistic freedom if you will? It might also be that Cyrus just can’t stop, and is having a lot of fun. I think that would be the most relevant option.
Miley is really appreciative of her fans and their love for her. She said incredible nice things about them on Monday on the show with Ryan Seacrest: “Everyone always judges and says what they want, but my fans … have really stood by me no matter what I’ve been through … and this is a song that says where I’m at in my life right now.”
Miley Cyrus should just ignore all the ‘nay’ sayers, embrace her fans even more, and certainly continue with; I can’t stop performing “We can’t stop”. Miley is back and will have you dancing your socks off!
