Two Boston police officers were shot in Dorchester Wednesday afternoon. A suspect has also been shot, and police are looking for a second.
The injuries to the officers are not life threatening. The condition of the suspect was not released, but he was said to have traumatic injuries as he was transported to the hospital.
Witnesses said they heard the officers yelling: “Put down your weapon.” Then they heard several gunshots.
The second suspect is described as an African-American with light skin, braided hair, a slim build, and was wearing a maroon-striped shirt.
Supporting officers have sealed off the area.
Another witness said the officers originally encountered the suspects at a furniture store, and then chased them down the street where the shootings occurred.
