Katherine Harris’ Husband Has Commited Suicide

Katherine Harris’ husband, Anders Ebbeson, is reported to have taken his own life. Sarasota police have released a statement Tuesday confirming that the 68-year-old businessman and husband of the former Congresswoman has committed suicide. William Hild, a pastor speaking for the Florida couple, informs the the public that the family is asking for “privacy, prayers, thoughts and love from the community.” According Pastor Hild, Ebbeson had been dealing with some health issues recently. Ebbeson was a well respected Swedish businessman who met and married former Congresswoman Harris in 1996.

Katherine Harris and Anders Ebbeson were a model couple and an inspiration according to many friends. Although it has been stated that Katherine Harris’ husband had been suffering from some health issues, it is not clear if that was what motivated the suicide.

Sarasota Police Chief DiPino state, “Mrs. Harris wanted the community, her family and friends to know that her husband is no longer suffering.” The state of Florida – and friends of the former congresswoman – prepare to mourn as news that Katherine Harris’ husband has committed suicide begins to sink in.
