On July 1, Marlene Pinnock, 51, was the victim of a brutal attack at the hands of California Highway Patrol Officer, Daniel Andrew. A passing motorist was able to capture the entire incident on video, which showed officer Andrew punching Pinnock repeatedly by the side of the freeway.
The case was settled out of court through mediation and Pinnock was victorious. She walked away with a $1.5 million settlement. In addition, Officer Andrew has agreed to resign from the police force.
