Florida police are investigating the shooting death of a man in Coral Springs Monday afternoon. The man, 22-year-old Omar Khan, was shot in the parking lot of a Bank of America. Reports from the scene indicate that the shots were fired from a sport utility vehicle which was subsequently stopped by police. Two people who were in that vehicle have been detained for questioning. A friend of the victim indicated in a statement that the shooting may have been drug-related. Though police have not made any statement about the reason for the shooting, they will be investigating the possibility of narcotics being involved. The victim was able to drive himself to a nearby residence to call for help, but shortly died from his injuries after being airlifted to the hospital.
