Canada Joins Bombing of ISIS in Iraq

In their first mission since joining the coalition combatting ISIS in Iraq, CF-18 planes from Canada dropped laser-directed bombs at targets near Fallujah on Sunday. This was just confirmed through a Department of National Defense representative. The report indicated that it was a mission of approximately four hours, which involved a mid-air refueling by a CF-150 Polaris. All aircraft involved in this first mission returned safely from the operation. The Canadian aircraft are part of a group operating out of a base located somewhere in the area of Kuwait which arrived on October 30.
