Following reports of shots fired, San Francisco police officers responded to the scene of a shooting in the Telegraph Hill neighborhood at Vallejo Street and Columbus Avenue on Sunday afternoon. When they arrived, officers found a 60-year-old man who was suffering from a gunshot wound.
According to Sergeant Monica MacDonald, the victim, identified as a community fixture by the name of Roy and his shooter were in the street having a verbal argument. Emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the scene and the 60-year-old shooting victim known only by the name of Roy was transported to San Francisco General Hospital where he is receiving treatment for non-life threatening injuries. At this time, the cause of the verbal argument and the identity of the shooter are unknown. Police officers are searching for the shooter.
