June Shannon, a.k.a “Mama June”, who rose to notoriety on the now canceled TLC reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, says that there is still a chance for her and partner Sugar Bear to reconcile. The pair’s last shot at repairing their relationship possibly lies with the idea of them being featured on a reality show centered around doing just that, and it is known as Marriage Bootcamp. The series is featured on the WE network (owned by AMC, similar to Bravo and VH1.)
The 35-year-old says that she is fully willing to meet with producers as has been planned for quite some time, and discuss if there is any possibility of the estranged couple appearing on said reality television program (they were also reportedly approached by a second, although the title of this show has yet to come forth.) The issue, however, is said to lie with Shannon’s partner Sugar Bear (real name Mike Thompson) agreeing to put any kind of investment in the impending opportunity at all.
The situation between the two is reportedly not going as well as the mother of four has been hoping it would since their initial split back in September 2014. Shannon is said to have forced Thompson’s hand in evicting him from the family’s McIntyre residence at the end of last week, claiming that she yet again found him cruising online dating sites in order to attach himself to separate company. This was the alleged original reason behind the aforementioned split, with Shannon telling the media that her partner had been on PlentyOfFish for quite some time (as well as other sites), doing his best to claim the single life and say he was looking for a long-term relationship.
Upon the eviction in question having taken place, Sugar Bear is said to have spent the night at the home of one of his relatives. He passed the time by drinking Mountain Dew and eating chili, and reportedly vented to said family member about his frustrations regarding his less than ideal relationship with the mother of his children. One of the issues he raised was his suspicion that Shannon was most certainly still in contact with convicted child molester Mark McDaniel, who was sentenced to a total of a decade in prison for subjecting the woman’s own daughter to sexual abuse at the mere age of eight years old. SB also reportedly spent several hours on the phone with Shannon that same night, arguing about the aforementioned issues and discussing the state of their relationship in terms of what step to take next. The following day, Thompson and his brother took the step of renting a double-wide trailer together in order for the former Here Comes Honey Boo Boo patriarch to better move on with his life and decide what direction in which to take it.
It remains to be seen whether June Shannon and estranged partner Sugar Bear will end up on Marriage Bootcamp, or any other reality series that showcases the attempted salvation of a relationship. For information on the matter has yet to be revealed.
