Rayas Khudai Dad has been executed in Kabul today. The execution happened at Kabul’s Pul-i-Charkhi prison. The hanging happened around 11:30 a.m. today, according to sources.
Khudai Dad, also known as Rayas Khudai Dad, was arrested in September 2014 by the National Directorate of Security (NDS) for human trafficking. Khudai Dad was considered the most notorious human trafficker and smuggler internationally. Khudai worked his operation in United Arab Emirate (UAE), Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and other countries as well.
During a special operation of NDS near Kabul City, Khudai was arrested based on specific intelligence reports, according to Habibullah Seddiqi, the NDS spokesman. Seddiqi states, Khudai also used a number of different names while traveling in and out of many countries. He was under heavy surveillance by INTERPOL and has been placed on a blacklist by the Tajikistan police, the NDS spokesman said.
The arrest of Khudai is a major accomplishment for Afghan forces of security because crimes of murder, robberies, and kidnappings have grown in Kabul and other places. The execution of Rayas Khudai Dad, the head of a major smuggling and trafficking ring, took place today.
