‘The Voice’ Season 8 Finale

The VoiceThe Voice has four finalist left, and a winner will be announced Tuesday night. The finalists are, former Steel Magnolia country singer, Meghan Linsey. She is on Blake Shelton’s team. Koryn Hawthorne and Sawyer Fredericks from Pharrell Williams’ team and Joshua Davis, from Adam Levine’s team. Christina Aguilera, however, does not have any singers in the finals.

This season’s finalists are very different types of artists. There is a farm boy, a powerhouse, a carnie father and an artist who is breaking away from duets.

Tonight, coaches will be singing with their contestants, and their last live performances before the final vote. The Voice is on NBC at 8 p.m. EST Mondays and Tuesdays.

Corey Kent White, the country singer from Bixby, made it to the Top 8 on Blake Shelton’s team. Corey will perform a free show in Bixby at 6 p.m. Thursday night. The performance will be at the Bixby High School. Gates open at 5 p.m. White will also be performing at the OKCFest June 26-27 in Oklahoma City. Team Pharrell features Sawyer Fredericks, age 16. Fredericks is from, Fultonville, NY. His best performance was Imagine by John Lennon. He recovered well after he lost his voice during the performance. Koryn Hawthorne, age 17 is also on Team Pharrell. Hawthorne is from, Abbeville, LA. Her best performance was Make It Rain by Foy Vance. She got a standing ovation from all of the judges and Aguilera said it was her best performance.

Team Blake shows off 28-year-old Meghan Linsey, from New Orleans, LA. Her best performance was Amazing Grace. Linsey dedicated her performance to her mom, it was a moving performance, according to the judges.

Team Adam’s Joshua Davis, is 37 and from Traverse City, MI. His best performance was Fields of Gold by Sting. A week after being on the bottom three, his Sting performance made it to the top of the iTunes charts.

NBC airs The Voice at 8 p.m. Monday May 18 and Tuesday May 19 at 8 p.m. Tune in and vote for your favorite singer. Tonight is part one of the live Season Finale. Tomorrow night is part two at 8p.m.

Last week five artists performed for a live audience, a TV audience and coaches Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams. Then the TV audience voted on their favorite performers.

India Carney, from Team Christina, was voted off The Voice last week. She sang Gravity by Sarah Barilles. Adam told her that she has the abilities and said that she has since the very beginning. He loved her taste and said she was amazing. Blake said she was powerful and getting softer at the end was even more powerful. He saw a different side of her artistry. Christina said that India continues to amaze her with her tenderness and passion and has the control and smarts to know when to push and pull. She cannot wait to purchase the song on iTunes.

The final four will perform in the part one finale on The Voice Monday on NBC at 8 p.m. Part two of the season finale will be Tuesday on NBC at 8 p.m.
