The Steelers and the Patriots met on the field again late in the season and huge playoff implications on the line. On Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018, the stealers held a 17-10 lead over the Patriots in Pittsburgh in the best matchup of Week 15, according to CBS Sports.
The Patriots game into the game at 9-4 after losing to the Dolphins last week. The Patriots are suddenly in a dogfight for a first-round playoff good-bye.
The Texans beat the Jets on Saturday, leaving the Patriots a half-game behind the Texans for the second seed in the AFC. A win for the Patriots would have placed them in front of the Texans due to their ownership of the head-to-head tiebreaker dating back to Week 1.
However, the Steelers won the game after losing the last three straight games. The Steelers will be headed to New Orleans to face the Saints for Week 16.
