Wave Church presents the musical production “The Christmas Express” on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018, at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. There will be an encore performance on Monday, Dec. 24, 2018, at 5 p.m. Christmas is a time for celebrating with friends and family. From its spiritual roots to today’s commercialism, the true meaning of Christmas is often lodged between the superficial. Wave Church has high hopes that people from all walks of life would pause and join them as they celebrate the birth of Christ this Christmas season with an enlightening and entertaining production.
In such a fast-paced, technologically perceptive society, the classic meaning and symbolism of such a sacred holiday as Christmas has been forgotten. Instead of the time when people would travel to spend time with loved ones and exchange gifts, many have transitioned to simple e-cards, digital downloads and electronically distributed gifts. Amid the hustle and bustle of such a busy time, it is refreshing for Wave Church to slow things down and present “The Christmas Express.” When speaking of the upcoming production, Steve Kelly, Senior Pastor of Wave Church said:
We are very excited to share in the celebration of Christmas with the community. Our vision is to see many people come to church to experience an excellent production and in turn hear the message of Jesus and all He has done for us.
Imagine a magical train that could take you when and wherever you wanted to go. One that could show you amazing visions and incredible music performed live in front of your very eyes. What if this train could help soften the hardest of hearts and bring a brother and sister closer together by revealing the true meaning of Christmas? “The Christmas Express” is staged for that very purpose.
As attendees of Wave’s productions have experienced in the past, “The Christmas Express” captures the essence of the holiday season with a powerful message. Wave Church, led by Steve and Sharon Kelly, is a worship experience geared towards the entire family. The ministry gifting of this dynamic couple has led thousands of people into a relationship with Jesus Christ by simply sharing the message of God’s love, goodness, and grace. On this coming weekend as people from all over Hampton Roads flood the auditorium, the goal will be the same.
Join Wave Church, along with attendees from across the seven cities of Hampton Roads, on December 23 and 24 for a brand new audio and visual experience! “The Christmas Express” is an incredible musical production with breathtaking visuals, aerialists, dancing and magnificent musical arrangements of your favorite Christmas songs like the “Little Drummer Boy” and “Oh Holy Night,” as well as newer expressions that your whole family will enjoy.
Wave Church will present, not just another flashy or high-powered production, but an empowering musical to remind people what Christmas is really about. Although “The Christmas Express” may sound simple, the Create team of Wave Church promises an inspirational production with the same professionalism that past attendees are accustomed to. This year’s production will delight the kids with lights, sound, and special effects while bringing back warm memories for all generations.
During the Christmas weekend, make plans to join Wave Church’s celebration of the birth of Jesus and experience “The Christmas Express.” The stimulating musical will take place at the Great Neck Campus located at 1000 N. Great Neck Rd. It will delight the audience, young and old, with lights, sound, and special effects, bringing back warm memories for all generations. Also, there will be free pictures with Santa after each performance!
