The Washington Post is reporting on Feb. 25, 2019; a lawsuit has been filed by Alva Johnson who worked on Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign alleging at a Florida rally he kissed her without consent.
Johnson alleges on Aug. 24, 2016, while at a Trump rally, as he exited an RV, the presidential candidate grabbed her hand and wanted to kiss her on the lips. Johnson turned her head, and Trump kissed her on the side of her mouth. The campaign worker called the incident “inappropriate and super-creepy.”
She claimed she did not want it, was not expecting it and felt violated. She claims she can still see today Trump’s lips coming to her face.
Johnson said immediately told her stepfather, mother, and boyfriend about the incident. The Washington Post confirmed the three accounts.
She later contacted an attorney in Florida about the kiss. The lawyer gave text messages to the Post which showed he felt the woman had a credible case. However, he declined to take her on as a client for business reasons. The lawyer gave Johnson a referral to a therapist. The Post viewed the notes by the therapist, and it was recorded that an unspecified event that happened during the Trump campaign had upset her.
Sarah Sanders said in a statement that the incident never happened and many credible eyewitnesses said the event never occurred.
Johnson gave The Washington Post two eyewitnesses who were Pam Bondi, Florida attorney general at the time and another campaign official. Both witnesses told the paper that they did not see the alleged event occur.
